Thur Aug 21 3-5pm - use this for Program Planning work at the Dept level. NOT Fri 3-5pm because that interferes with Astro Dept meeting.

May 18 - Mon eve 10:40pm - Occultation by the #1 Moon of Asteroid Hermione, from SLO or further SE. Carrizo Plain may be good. Looks like a worthwhile van trip? Planning page. Orbit may need to be refined and LS may be a better place to look for prediction update. Finals week, so no final exams on Monday. It's a school holiday for me at least.
May 19 Tue eve - Final exam for Astro 8A
May 20 Wed morn 12:15am - TNO occultation through SF Bay, maybe SC. G=13.9, Dur=7s. RECONN event. Planning page Can't make big trip and still conduct Astro 4 8-10am Final Exam and also the P-show. Will have to try from not too far away. Short trip to Bay Area is feasible, or just stay home if path has high uncertainty.

May 20 Wed 11-12noon Wed - give Planetarium Show for Bradley 4th Grade Elementary as part of their all-day Cabrillo "The 4th Grade Experience" Program.
May 21 Thur - 1-4pm Final exam for Astro 5
May 22 Fri 5pm Graduation at the stadium.
May 27 - Call Dr. Palaczek and schedule for November19+
July 27 9pm - Occultation of 10th mag star by Juno, through Santa Cruz and northern CA. Low in the east.
Aug 11 - Occultation north of SF along the coast of Asteroid 2000 NN3, recorded as a new binary asteroid by Ted Swift early this year, and it's making a come back. Worth an expedition. May interfere with Barcroft? Maybe combine with Kirk for a trip to both and perhaps events in between?
Aug 23 - Sun - Sandman Triathlon
Aug mid - Barcroft Labs trip. Stay tuned with CLK, look for 'roids opportunities to justify a van?

Sept 11,12,13 - GraniteMan Challenge. Ask High Sierra Tri Club if GraniteMan is official this year.
