This event is a chance to discover/confirm the binary nature of this asteroid. So far, it is only suspected of being a binary because of its light curve. The orbit period is short and this means the moon is very likely large and close to the primary, making it a good prospect for a binary discovery event.

The event is on a weekend and it at Carrizo Plain, which is an excellent place to set out stations and have a low horizon. The low horizon is necessary as the target is only 12 degrees above the horizon. Good clean skies will be needed.

Alt=12, Az=89 in Monoceros.

The RUWE=1.1, which is OK. The rank is decent, and odds of a hit near the centerline look to be pretty good
