This is a good event for hunting for moonlets. 5.7s long, and the star is bright enough to get at 4x if the fog stays away. The whole team is inside the path. I will try from home.

Alt=25, Az-178 in Sagittarius

RUWE=0.95 which is solid. Should be a "sure thing"

I planned to get this from home, but fog started to roll in at 1am. Since Karl was on for doing this one, I promised myself I'd do my best to provide a second chord, even though 2am is usually for sleeping. I was game to get another event, since I hadn't tried one since the June NEO event. I drove up Empire Grade and had to get as far as "the Berm" to get above the fog. Got on target easily, and then discovered my OccBox battery was dead. I didn't yet have the intended back up connector made, and had to scramble to see what I could find amongst my stuff to try and separately power the Watec and the VTI. I finally did succeed, using the cig lighter connector and disconnecting the backup battery for the computer. But it was now too late. Missed it. A fumble.  I should have checked the voltage on this battery after the last events in late June, which indeed involved a lot of on-power time.

Intended to set up for it at home. But, fog rolled in first. No attempt.
