This is a high rank event, and the uncertainties look to make this a "sure thing", and long enough to be suitable for moonlet hunting. We may be able to get away with 1x but more likely best at 2x setting. The star is in Virgo in an uncrowded area, 29 degrees up in the southeast.

Alt=29, Az-142 in Virgo, 5 degrees to the right of Spica. Use Spica as your 2nd align star

Results:

I observed from home, Kirk from Zayante at the SCAC Star Party at Quail Hollow. Karl planned to drive to Olive Springs, and Jordan from home.

Richard Nolthenius

I got a recording at 4x under clear skies from home. Looked like a miss on the live computer screen

I got a miss for Klopstock, 8x at Quail Hollow ranch. No apparent event, despite good rank and I was not far from the predicted centerline. Just not a good prediction I guess.
I couldn't see obvious clouds visually, but from the light curves there was variable tranparency. I had to use 8x, less was too faint and noisy. PyOTE detectability tool reported an event as short as 0.2s was likely detectable, max predicted was 2.37s.
