James Hansen's website has a new article, describing the evidence that the rapid and accelerating global ocean and land warming especially in 2026, is only in small part due to the new El Nino we're beginning as of summer '26. The Santa Cruz Climate Action Now group asked me to help lead a discussion of this paper and answer questions from participants in a Zoom session. I put together a 38 slide Presentation and took questions afterwards, and we also went further afield into local effects and how to challenge local pro-growth policies.
